This equipment is suitable for palm oil extraction to remove the big particle especially sand and shall be located as pre-cleaner before clarifier tank.

A hydro cyclone is a centrifugal separating system which remains static during operation. The cyclone consists of two main section: cylindrical and conical. The required inlet force is produced via an external feed pressure, which because of its special designed top cylinder create a vortex. The separated coarse particle/sand move by gravity down toward the conical section (apex). The lighter and relatively free from sand liquids escape through the overflow pipe (vortex finder). The process runs continuously.

By means of pneumatic actuator and automatic discharge valve an interrupted operation with pre-selected interval can be guaranteed.
